Development of a prescribers’ competency framework
|
|
The National Prescribing Centre is developing a single generic competency framework for all prescribers (to include doctors, dentists and non-medical prescribers).
As part of the process of producing the framework we are looking for prescribers to validate a draft version of the competency framework in two separate focus group settings. As an active non-medical prescriber, we would like to invite you to register your interest in attending either of these groups.
We are particularly looking for active prescribers from the following professions:
- nurses
- midwives
- physiotherapists
- podiatrists
- radiographers
- optometrists
The dates for the focus groups are:
Tuesday 8 November in London
or
Monday 28 November in Liverpool
If you would like to be involved in this project and are able to attend either meeting please contact ian.pye@nice.org.uk stating the sector you work in, area of practice, profession and the date(s) you would be able to attend.
You can view competency frameworks that the NPC has previously developed for non-medical prescribers through the following link http://www.npc.nhs.uk/guidance_nmp.php
